Mdina and Mosta

Next aim of our trip was Mdina, the former capital of Malta. It is a medieval town with narrow, quiet streets, situated on a hill, offering an unusual view of the island.

We have spent some time in Mdina and move to Mosta. The main attraction in Mosta is the Rotunda – a huge round church which seems Pantenon.

The  church is known with bomb which hit the dome of the church but failed to explode it is considered a miracle. The detonator was removed and a replica bomb is now displayed as a memorial.

Unfortunately church was closed so we could not visit the inside and see the bomb, we looked it only from the outside.
